the requirements as set out in the NWWDA I.S. 1 6-87 for a Type 1 wood
flush door adhesive. It has been tested and approved on both the George
Pacific and Weyerhaeuser fire door constructions. Approved for
use in the assembly of 20, 45, 60 and 90 minute fire doors, with or
without plastic laminate faces. |

Details:
APPLICATION
Applied by mechanical roller at a rate of 9-14 mils wet film thickness. GIA1095
can be used to assemble a wide variety of hollow and solid core flush doors.
Minimum application temperature is 13°C.
ASSEMBLY TIME
Typical assembly time is approximately 10-25 minutes (up to 30 minutes). The
assembled doors should then be placed in press for 30 minutes for proper bond
development.
GIA1095 can also be successfully used on hot presses. Note
that when assembling a multi-layer door construction, the surfaces must be sufficiently
cooled after each press cycle. This will avoid premature drying of the adhesive
film before completing the assembly.
Depending on the construction and types of components used,
trimming can be performed as early as 2 ½ hours after removal from the
press. Ideally, the delay period before trimming should be extended as long
as is convenient to enable the GIA1095 to develop as thorough a bond as possible.
